I decided to get these lyrics on my arms for my 18th birthday. They’re from the song “The Only Hope For Me Is You” by My Chemical Romance.
These words mean so much to me, as does the band. A few years ago, I was in a deep depression and thinking about some pretty bad stuff..but MCR brought me out of that with their music. They had such powerful and inspiring messages that were delivered to me through their songs. They are what kept me going. They saved my life.
The tattoo also reminds me of all the people that have helped me in my past. At times, they were truly my only hope. It reminds me of all the people I have and it shows that I am willing to do whatever it takes to help them. It shows I’m willing to be an only hope for someone just how they were and are for me.
